yesterday i was in bed when my brother called to meet our dear uncle that i don't remember who, arrived from the philippines for australia. he asked me prior to his arrival to prepare myself but was mad for not answering the phone. the reason why i muted off the cell was because, i was enjoying the entire day sleeping. with that sudden phone call, i get up to bed and felt a twang in my back. so i went to sit for a moment and gingerly plopped down at my laptop. i leaned back in my desk chair, checked my email, and soon realized that i couldn't get up.

i've been dealing with back pain on and off everytime i work on an early shifts. i don't know which to blame. i know the routine of my mornings, it usually starts with lack of sleep, my boss & the many blah's about the job. i tough it out with a little stretch and eventually pain will go away. but sometimes eventually can seem like an absolute eternity. the pain made me delirious. j called me up this morning with my voice sounded as if i was in a real torture. i was in bed with a fetal position and surrounded myself by pillows, i curled up on my left side and fell blissfully asleep. the fetal positon has been a lifesaver for me. it makes me stretch my back taking a bit of a pressure off whatever it is that causing the pain. i can't even get up to get my coffee and i pray that this pain is not serious and can be treated normally. but as j would explain it, it must be my smoking habits. i should stop.

i forced myself to walk around and stretch. so now i'm here stucked at the computer for the moment trying to find out about back pains. at the same time, reading these informations, made me refresh my orthopaedic class back in college.
