saturday was pretty much laid back. the weather was sticky. i sits around in every corner of the house usually contemplating which is what i usually do on weekends. and turns on my iPod.

sometimes i'm quite fluffy when it comes to 'what's new on the chart' music. for me, the sense of enjoying good music doesn't always go with a nice cover of their albums or the ratings and billboard charts. my music is mostly a twanging collections of old songs and it doesn't stop me from listening to a rather pleasant and easy music to listen to. added to that, i'm a big fan of jazz vocals, r&b and folk or the pop-rock. nowadays, it's quite an enjoyment to listen to indie. this kind of music exactly reel me in and keeping me there.

here are some of my few ipod launches.

rufus wainwright - his songs is an electric assortment of music that reflects the little things of a life like love. his music is hauntingly original. at the beginning his voice was abitof overpowering but later on, i've actually grown quite a fond of his voice now. with that being said, he is so brilliant as a singer. if you're getting into him, this album is a good place to start. it contains beautiful mix of piano playing. i feel so much about being home enjoying a cuppa coffee for this.

turin brakes - is a modern folk duo from britain. they have a superb vocal harmonies, acoustic guitars and piano beats that creates a great combination of both. it's a beautiful mixture of music and emotions. rain city is one of the track that i love to listen. it's full of sublime and soothing love song. all in all, this is more than a compilation to listen to after hours. it actually allows me to absorb the influences of the band. it's nice to listen to it with friends. a best new comer!

tori amos - because less is still more. never been a fan until just recently, when i heard about her the beekeeper album, it occurs to me that talented person does something really brilliant. although this latest is full of glossy stuff that floats on top, still she has a lot of cliche with her familiar trademark lyrical tactics that amuse me of her accuracy which is just plain sounds too nice. sweet the sting is lyrically a brilliant number.
