minnie driver, what happened to her? she's one of many sucessful actress who took off from the movie scene and i would say that she's quite an invisible girl. this time she's back, literally to music. she's been dreaming an album since her teenage years and now proves that she's got everything in her pocket.

but what is it with movie stars today wanting to become music stars? is she following the JLO's trend? i hear you ask.

i remember her from good will hunting the only movie i saw that got her nominated for best supporting actress. she has a great accent and i don't know why i love english. although she was originally building up as a professional singer when she had her breakthrough role in the circle of friends, she forced her singing career to the back. now given a chance, she wants us to show what she's capable of with an album all written by her.

so, what does minnie driver have in her musical pocket?  “they are songs that reflect the truest version of myself. hopefully, people will connect with that.”

lyrically, her songs are easy on the ear. the tracks are kind of a slow pace range familiar to what the likes of dido, nelly furtado or natalie imbruglia. like them, driver can actually sing. she has a bittersweet quality of voice that is quite enjoyable to listen. she totally haunts me with her single's everything i've got in my pocket. it makes me want to jump up aboard driver's music vehicle and enjoy a smooth ride.

this is probably an album that she can be proud of as the category known as easy listening. a surprisingly beautiful and dreamy, haunting music for grown ups.
