all by myself

i spent my afternoon today wandering around the southern, the tourist tip of kowloon. i had taken a star ferry across hong kong island to the victoria harbour with a nice weather but had shivered in the cool fog late in the afternoon.

i had never seen such a beautiful kowloon these days. this time, i hadn't failed to anticipate the weather so i walked through the waterfront exploring to the avenue of stars. i've seen bruce lee, jet li, michelle yeoh and jackie chan's handprints made it another tourist attraction. it was simply like an afternoon exercise for me as i hardly visit the place despite the nice view of the waterfront.

this time, i had my canon digital cam with me and there are so many beautiful things to take photos until my camera died of low battery. at least i had rolled through downtown street passing thru peninsula hotel to the harbour city. for a moment, i'd thought i was standing in a different place. those streets became more colorful than before. although at the back of its tallest and beautiful buildings, i could still see scattered low rise buildings next to each other. the glimpse of these old apartment blocks at nearby commercial area can catch your attention which comes in a shock from clothes hanging in a stick outside its windows.

i realized, hong kong is such a wonderful city. it has all the peace and order from bus or taxi cabs. street beggars are still hanging around the star ferry side by side with the man who nearly yelled at me from taking a picture of his rickshaw 'cadillac'. of course i've pretended like i'd missed it while i was trying to figure out why the cam's auto-flash was "on". the rickshaw man charged those poor tourists around $100 an hour, a tour on few landmark sites. or maybe if you want to take photos with the rickshaw, you can pay less but, i'm not sure.

it turned out that i've enjoyed much by taking the star ferry ride, watching people overwhelmed by skyscrapers while this woman sitting next to me was nearly collapsing to my shoulder. the ferry ride wasn't more than fifteen minutes dock to dock. it was a beautiful day while rolling up to my next point. that is, central district. the place full of well-dressed people. a tourist australian dude almost tripped by staring at a woman passing by wearing a chanel dress in a high heel shoes.

close by, a statute square is still the popular hang out for pinoys even during the weekdays. it reminds me of those days when j & i used to take home a pinoy food in a trademark styrofoams.

and so it is, that walking back to the bus station, i told myself that i had done two interesting things today, one of them was taking few pictures. the other, a visit to the avenue of stars.

so expensive naman... nayrk nayrk. tipong mga 70 bucks lang. bt investment if mga roxy or billabong in times square. in lane crwfoard its like... 500bucks ouch!

hay hay... miss HK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i do hope meron na swimwear thou i know late april pa and may pa :(

city super? go check the new upgraded shop at lover ground level in times square and u will love it there. sa wanchai, tiny mongkok style, but too crowded and limited. or go to ale-ale stores in Central for your pantulogs saka sa Stanley market. sarap na ng weather..... meron ng naka short na kita ang singit hehehehe.

oy san pa like mongkok type in HK.Use to buy in tuen mun lang and mongkok!

i buy socks and panstulog in china mura eh....

sa HK naman i go for make up stuff and CD and mga kakaibang stuff in citysuper! love that place and other sporting goods...

bt in general china or mongkok.

medjo nga nagmamahal na mongkok eh.. minsan mas mura yung tipong ganun in causeway sa side ng times quare...

bench.. yeah super sarap ng material and super ok :) love marks and spencer too when its comes undergarments.

shit mongkok... im goin in there next tuesday. its still crowded there but dont u think they get a little expensive. i suggest u go to China. oist, i can afford only in wanchai's street shops, mura ang mga medyas dun at pantulog.

right, don't be fooled by JLo's outfits. ika nga, using brand names doesnt mean you'll look cool. but i love BENCH underwears!

crazy fool, im not asking for brands... im not rich! please (a bit offensing actually)

I just want wat to expect in mongkok or in the shops when I land. I dont go in central I only got 1day in hongkong then china na ako. after china back to Hk for 2days confusing schedule. so im maximizing my time as much as i could and my budget.

i hate brands! mango is so expensive! but thnks more or less i see what the trend is...thnks tlga.

as for LV stuff..yeah my frend have the cherry thing its so expensive, its crazy and walalang doesnt look classy na. its just crazy you know to buy sumthing so expensive and trend nagyon out tommorow. bt only those people can appreciate it. I love gucci thou i dont buy gucci.

hmm spring... that means expensive pa rin ang stuff.. :(

for the record i dont go to any store you just mentioned :( just mongkok and causeway.

hi ss rich girl, as u can see there's a forecast and the current scene pictured in the left. it goes between 14-21 deg now. just yesterday, most of the people are wearing t-shirts, jeans & tongs. shops just recently 'dressed' up with spring clothes. i see bright COLORS say A/X & D&G or Mango. for men's its any kind of jeans tops with any kind of blazers in tee-prints. for ladies, i think MINI-skirts jeans? hehehehe that's on D&G displays. and LV's new cherry hybrid papillion mini-bag is IN. go o the International Finance Centre - CHECK on LANE CRAWFORD , everything's there. I'm broke and im not rich SS so it's a shame if i meet up widya. hehehehe. Enjoy ur visit. the Tagboard's OUT.

hey im goin to hk on the 22th people have been telling me it's cold daw there... is it? coz i really can't figure out what type of clothes to bring.

it is summer season na ba? super kating kati na ko mag shopping... what are the trend of ladies clothes now. sorry for asking you these stuff. normally i'd go in my slippers and ask my mom in long distance.

but you how cantonese are very judgemental on the spperance (lame of me) bt not that I mind coz pretty much I look like a japanese LOL.

I just don't want to get all excited and find those 3/4's sleeve clothing in HK. with summer shopping expectation on my head.

I envy you I havent been in film center in HK ingit!!! kainis I was born there and yet missing out on HK's great spots.

and yess indeed HK is a great city the peace and order. transportation is convnient, despite being cosmopolitan yet rich in cultural traditions.

anyways hope to hear from you soon... so i can pack early :P
